Abstract

Structuring “a big border zone” in the Belarusian territory continued more than 150 years (17721945), and this process conjoined in various combinations diplomatic, ethnopolitical and in the final stage state-building factors. The significant contribution to permission of eternal dispute about conterminal space between Poland and Russia was brought by crossing at once of several reformatory tendencies (transformations of the authorities of imperial Russia, essential changes at the level of national life, indigenization and other innovations of Bolsheviks).
