Abstract

In the article is considered the role by the United Nations Organization (United Nations) in settlement of the Iranian crisis of 1946, which was the first international crisis discussed by just created United Nations. The crisis had long-term consequences as for relations of the USSR with the West, being the Harbinger of the "Cold War", and for the United Nations, appeared a hostage of rivalry between great powers, pursuing the interests to the detriment of the purposes of international cooperation, proclaimed in the United Nations Charter.
