- Abstract
- In the article are considered the cases when Russian America appeared under the threat of an attack from foreign powers, and also local American Indian tribes. Based on an extensive material it is shown that representations about this threat frequently were and remain exaggerated and hardly could serve as the serious justifi cation for sale of Alaska by the USA in 1867.
