The Essay deals with George Lansbury, one of the famous British pacifists and propagandists of the socialist idea in the end of the XIX - the first half of the XX century. The Author analyses the evolution of Lansbury's views from liberalism to socialism, his activity as the editor of Labour newspaper "Daily Herald" and as Leader of the Labour Party between 1932-1935.
