Abstract
In the essay the life and political sights of the known English socialist and historian Richard Henry Tawney (1880-1962) is considered. The author traces what has affected the formation of sights of Tawney, what role he has played in the history of the Labour party, how much he has been satisfi ed by its development throughout several decades.
