Abstract

The article is focused on quantitative analysis of competition between the largest banking centres of the USA during the last 40 years. The investigation shows that in spite of increasing territorial stratification (which is typical for neo-liberal economy) and permanent leadership of New York City, the American credit system is remarkable for relatively low monopolization and acute competition between several financial metropolises.
