Abstract

The article is devoted the relations of the USA and the countries of Latin America in the end of the 18th- the first quarters of the 19th centuries. The author shows various approaches of the American politicians to War for Independence of the Latin American colonies of Spain, to recognition, to expansion of sphere of geopolitical interests of the USA.
