Abstract

The article reveals new meanings of the Constitution of Russia, acquired by her in connection with amendments of President V.V. Putin. The author analyzes the new configuration of the authorities in the constitutional system of their separation, the innovations in the content of the principles of the social and legal state, the consolidation of Russia's state sovereignty in a globalizing world, and the expansion of the institute “checks and balances”. Attention is paid to the objective foundations of the "vertical" of power as a factor in the state unity and integrity of Russia.
