Abstract

In the modern world, the role of the cultural forums in the process of cultural dialogue between states and in the development of cross-border cooperation is increasing. The Russian-Finnish Cultural Forum is an important platform for the cultural dialogue between partners of neighboring states. The aim of this research is to investigation of the significance of the participation of the Republic of Karelia in the Russian-Finnish Cultural Forum for the development of cross-border cooperation and for future cross-border projects in the field of culture. The study is based on the networks of interaction between Karelian and Finnish partners in the framework of bilateral negotiations of the event's business platform.
