Abstract
This article presents the results of research on the terms "function” and "powers” public authorities as part of the completed research project "Improvement of legal regulation of information relations in the system of executive branch”. The authors analyze the concept offunction and powers of the executive authorities; formulate a methodology to systematize the functions and powers of the federal bodies of executive power, the use of modern IT in the construction of multivariate models classifications of functions and powers of the executive authority; considering the state registers as the basic information needed to construct such classifiers in order to optimize the state (municipal) control in their respective spheres of society and to strengthen cooperation among themselves bodies of executive power, as well as with individuals and organizations; considered necessary in this case, the legal solutions.
