Abstract
For the first time in the national historiography the monograph gives an analysis of the complex problems of the State of autonomies in Spain and studies the particular features of the administrative-territorial structure of this multiethnic country. The author examines the genesis, legislative and ethno-political framework for regional autonomy, so as evolution and prospects of state autonomy. Special attention is paid to the institutional asymmetry and ethnic conflicts of Spain, threatening its territorial integrity. Extensive information on major languages, biographies of famous political figures are provided.
