Abstract
The history of the wheel in ancient America investigated as a property of the material culture of the humanity in this article. The analysis of the artifacts of the different historical periods and cultures of the ancient Central and South America («the wheeled» toys, «malacates», stamp etc.) demonstrated the formation of the idea of wheel in this cultures.
