- Abstract
- A number of episodes in the history of Russian-English relations in the sphere of culture in the 16th century is analyzed. Special attention is paid to consideration of cases of the order and purchase of the Russian hand-written and printing books by the English merchants. It is shown that it has been connected with need of studying by British of Russian without which knowledge trade and political contacts would be complicated.
