- Abstract
In the article on the basis of new sources – documents of the British cabinet of G. Macmillan – are investigated American British relations in the south of Arabian peninsula in 1958–1962. The author comes to the conclusion that the Yemen revolution of 1962 promoted consolidation of positions of Washington and London in the Near East. Thus the USA gradually forced out Great Britain from traditional spheres of the British interests.
