Abstract

The author reflects over questions, whether there were German immigrants in Russia the German military spies and what danger was constituted by their numerous colonies for external safety of Russia. He comes to the conclusion that some evidence pointing to the involvement of German colonists to intelligence activities in favor of Germany is not sufficient to charge the Germans living in Russia in the military espionage.
