- Abstract
In the essay the life and political activity of the known polish politician and statesman Władysław Gomulka is considered. Throughout 14 years Gomulka defi ned the internal and foreign policy of Poland. Under his management the national economy modernization has been carried out. His main foreign policy success - signing in December, 1970 of the contract with Germany about normalization of Polish-German relations and the Polish western border.
