- Abstract
The main attention in the article is given the frontier battles of summer of 1941. Based on archival materials the author shows the diffi cult conditions, in which it was necessary to battle to the Soviet armies, he analyzes the reasons of initial successes of the enemy and characterizes the factors which have caused failure of the Hitlerite Blitzkrieg in 1941.
