In the article are considered national educational standards, existing in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, the USA, France and other states of the West; it is told about the all-European recommendations in history teaching. New tendency in the history studying in the main countries of Western Europe is the aspiration to the expanded interpretation of the subject "History".
