- Abstract
- Based on the extensive uses of materials from the Bakhmeteff Archive of Russian and East European History and Culture, the article considers the history of the creation of the archive as it developed since 1951. The author arrives to the conclusion that the availability of such rich collections in New York helped to preserve appreciation of Russian history and culture around the world.
