Abstract

The article discusses the role and influence of the oil and major oil producing companies in the U.S. on policy elite in Washington in relation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1943-1944. These reasons that have had a growing impact on the position of President Franklin Roosevelt, Cordell Hull, Mr. Ickes and american diplomats in Saudi arabia during the preparation of the Anglo-American oil agreement in 1944.
