- Abstract
- The article traces the genesis of Pan-Slavism and considers its main models; each of them had its own character. Pan-Slavism in Russia, the Balkans, Central Europe and in the West evolved in different ways. Its adherents were united by the idea of a historical community of the Slavic peoples and a special civilization mission of the Slavs in European history.
