Abstract
The category of legal certainty is analyzed by the author through practical collisions in the definition of real sources of the Russian criminal procedure and their hierarchy, the legal certainty of judicial precedents of Supreme courts, the certainty of definitive court decisions and the legal status of individuals, which is determined by these acts (res judicata).
